I love the holidays! I mean, who doesn’t? The crisp, cool air that’s whirled about during the final rush of shoppers buying those final items, that whooshes past me and tickles my nose and throat. The steamed milk with foam and dashes of cocoa that swirl and meld together to create a heavenly, warm sip. The twinkling lights from my neighbors rooftop and my own magnolia tree that glow through my bedroom window and keep me up at night. It’s magic. It’s all magic.
I feel so lucky to find my way home during the holidays. I finished up my last final exam, packed up the car (with the help of my handsome boyfriend, of course), and hit the road. Just me and my GPS set to “Go Home.” A little traffic in Atlanta, a few red lights, and I was here. I love my home and my family. Not to say that home never gets boring and stressful sometimes. It’s weird to be back under my parent’s roof and being told to take your shoes upstairs, but other than that, I think it’s wonderful. I just wish for everyone that they would find the same or similar happiness in their situation. No matter the stress, no matter the buzz, I am just be thankful to be home for the holidays.
Merry Christmas!
